7-Eleven Canada Expands Licensed Restaurant Program in Edmonton With Three New Locations; More on the Way

Edmonton, AB – 7-Eleven Canada has expanded its licensed restaurant format to three new Edmonton locations. As of today, adult patrons can pair their meal with beer and wine in the remodeled dining areas or have it to-go through take-out and home delivery. 7-Eleven Canada now operates a total of four licensed restaurants in Alberta and intends to expand the program to ten locations before the New Year. The pilot location in Edmonton was licensed a year ago and has been well received by local patrons.

Dine-in hours at all four locations are from 11:00am to 11:00pm; fast take-out and home delivery hours are from 9:00am to 1:00am, seven days a week through Uber Eats, DoorDash and SkipTheDishes.

The restaurant expansion complements 7-Eleven Canada’s focus on fresh and prepared foods. Our menu includes Crispy Classic Chicken wings, strips, sandwiches and potato wedges cooked fresh in-store daily; pizza hot from the oven in minutes – 24/7, Big Bite Hotdogs, hot and cold sandwiches made locally and delivered fresh daily, crispy taquitos, and more. Beverage alcohol products include chilled beer, with local craft products, as well as a variety of wines, seltzers, and coolers.

“We’re pleased to expand our licensed restaurant format to more communities in Alberta after receiving positive feedback from our original location in Edmonton,” said Marc Goodman, Vice President and General Manager, 7-Eleven Canada. “For more than fifty years, 7-Eleven Canada has continued to innovate to better serve the communities we’re a part of. We’re proud to invest in these communities, create new jobs, and contribute to the economy.”

7-Eleven Canada’s licensed restaurants are located at:

  • 6975 Ellerslie Road, Edmonton
  • 8210-160 Ave, Edmonton
  • 1704 Millwood’s Road South, Edmonton
  • 14110 127 St NW, Edmonton (original pilot location licensed in December 2021)

All staff who handle alcohol are ProServe trained. 7-Eleven Canada has a strong age-restricted sales policy and controls in place alongside foodservice training.

7-Eleven’s first Canadian location was opened in Alberta in 1969 – more than fifty years ago. Now, 7-Eleven Canada has 250 locations in communities across Alberta and employs over 3,000 team members.
